Radio stations in Hong Kong and Abu Dhabi provided Cheltenham born Steve with his grounding to join BFBS in the former colony. He's spent much of his time working outside the UK and a large part of that has been served in Brunei. He departed his hometown in the early eighties with the intention of 'gaining some radio experience' in order to apply to Gloucestershire's newly opening ILR station. He's since worked in Cyprus, Germany, the Falklands, Bosnia and for several years as a Reporter at BFBS Television. Nearly three decades later and many feel that he's probably now got the necessary experience but he does sometimes take his 'perfectionist' tendencies just a little too far! He's married to Dorothy who comes from Penang, Malaysia.
