With the onset of summer, and the World Cup, there's a bit of a change to our programmes on BFBS Radio 2.
Simon Marlow and Richard Hutchinson still present their daily shows, providing more than seven hours of music, interviews and Forces stories each weekday, and we'll also bring full coverage of England's progress in the World Cup via BBC Five Live.
Dave Windsor spins "the platters that matter" each weekday at noon with an hour of "BFBS Gold" and on a Sunday morning at 8am, we welcome back "A Taste of Cyprus" with Nigel Rennie.
The Saturday and Sunday magazine programmes remain with Dusty Miller and the new Head of BFBS Radio 2, Patrick Eade, with the focus on the Forces community, particularly those based in Afghanistan.
"These programmes have that special BFBS Radio 2 'feel' that our listeners tell us they missed," says Nicky Ness. "It's a relaxed and friendly but knowledgeable style with room for more speech content and longer form interviews - classic BFBS Radio 2."
Patrick Eade joined BFBS Radio in 1985 and is keen to hear from BFBS R2 listeners, be they tuned in overseas or via the internet. "With the best news and sport available from the BBC, together with our own BFBS team of reporters and presenters, we can provide a rich mix of music and information."

BFBS Radio 2 is available on FM in most overseas Forces locations and online with a Listen Again facility for some programmes.
Simon Marlow can be heard from 0900-1200 UK time (Mon-Fri) Dave Windsor 12-1 UK time, Richard Hutchinson from 1330-1700 UK time (Mon-Fri), together with The Saturday Show 9-11am, A Taste of Cyprus Sun at 8am UK time followed by The Sunday for 2hours from 10am UK time. |
