In a special programme, Richard Hutchinson travelled to the once divided city to recall the heady days of November 1989, and the events that led to the Allies arriving in the city in the 1945.
Richard was joined by Jamie Gordon and Patrick Eade - both of whom were there and reporting on the day that the wall creaked and finally fell, leading to a new city - once more the capital of a united Germany. Many service personnel joined in the programme with Berliners who endured the days of a city once political siege. |
